Victorian Mother of Pearl Hafted Silver Bladed Folding Fruit Knife. The mother of pearl handle is decorated with a cornucopia filled with fruit on the front and two sunbursts on the reverse of the handle. The silver blade is engraved with floral decoration. There is an engraved solid silver spine along the edge of the piece. The knife was assayed in Birmingham 1888 and made by Thomas Marples.
Condition: The decoration to the front of the mother of pearl handle is worn. The blade sits out of the handle when closed into the handle. The tip to the silver blade is slightly bent. The spring is worn on the knife, as the blade needs to be pulled in and out. Length of the knife open is 5.1 Inches and closed is 2.95 Inches.
