Victorian Mother of Pearl Hafted Silver Bladed Folding Fruit Knife. The mother of pearl handle is engraved with floral decoration and has a shaped cartouche to the centre of the handle which is engraved with the initials E.J.W on it. On the reverse side there are two sunbursts. There is an engraved solid silver spine along the edge of the piece. The knife was assayed in Sheffield 1881 and made by John Yeomans Cowlishaw.
Condition:Good. The spring locks into 45 and 90 degree positions and returns to the handle with a soft close. There is a minute piece of silver spine worn away. Length of the knife open is 5.8 Inches and closed is 3.4 Inches.
