Rare Victorian Matching Mother of Pearl Hafted Silver Bladed Folding Fruit Knife and Fork. The mother of pearl handles are decorated with a bobbled edge around the border of the handles which is engraved on the silver caps as well. Each piece has an engraved silver spine along the edge of each piece. The pair was assayed in Birmingham 1866, and was made by Hilliard and Thompson.
Condition:Good. The spring on the fork is fine and the blade snaps in and out. The spring on the knife is worn and the blade has to be pulled in and out. The blade also sits out of the handle when closed into the handle. Length of the fork open is 5.5 Inches and closed is 3.25 Inches. Length of the knife open is 5.5 Inches and closed is 3.25 Inches.
